Is It Hard to Make Money Online Outside of the United States?
Yes, it’s hard but it’s not impossible. / aft news
Why it’s hard?
1-) Because you can make huge amount of money if only you have an english content web site and United States Web Traffic.
2-) If English is not your native language (like me) and if you’re not good at it, content sites maybe won’t work well for you. Why? Because if you have content web site (just like blogs), you need good rankings to earn more, you can get better rankings if only you have good content. Hence, many entrepreneurs start with “service sites” from outside the United States.
3-) Conferences, Meetups, Events about Startups, Web 2.0 and more are in United States. If you are Outside the United States, you need to follow them via videos. Web Developers, Entrepreneurs make strong relation-ships with these organizations, but you can’t.
4-) It might be a bit hard to understand the Geek Jargon and Internet Culture.
5-) You can’t find coders designers generally. You can’t find good coders easily.
6-) If you start a web site in your language, probably you can’t monetize it well like an English site.
7-) If you host your sites in your country, probably bandwith costs will be higher than U.S prices.
8- ) Generally, you’ll be alone.
9-) Generally you won’t able to describe what are you doing to the people easily around you. Because youwill spend a lot time and you won’t make money at the beginnig.
10-) You’ll see too many things to lose your motivation. You’ll hear too many “fail” stories around you. You will start to be pessimistic when you read people like you at forums, blogs.
11-) You’ll be alone during Technical Problems and big decisions.
Why it’s not impossible?
1-) Because we know too many people became rich by making money online Outside of the United States. For example, Amit Agarwal from India became a millionaire by blogging. But we can’t say that everybody can do the same. When you visit his about page and blog, you’ll see a man than know what’s he doing. The biggest rule of the content sites is; “Write if you know about it”.
2-) Every United States residents are not genious people. Sergey Brin is Russian, Jerry Jang is Taiwanese. It’s not about the continents,flags or your ethnic group, it’s all about you, if you’re a shining crazy diamond, no one would look at where you’ve made in.
3-) The money you earnt can be good in your country. For example with 1000 dollars, you can’t do anything at United States and but you can have a good living in many countries with this monthly earning.
4-) It will be more hard to predict the reactions of United States visitors.
5-) It will be more hard to reach the intellectual segment of United States.
6-) If you plan to start a web site in your language, probably you’ll make more successful than the global market. A crazy new idea can be new to your country but in Global market, you’ll easily find similar thoughts to yours. (many times)
-> If you make a web site to the global market in English; it will be hard to compete.
-> If you make a web site for your own country in your language; it will be easier to catch more success. Ad revenues would be less but in the long-term, you have more chance.
What do you need for a global market success from Outside of the United States?
1-) Good English.
2-) Html,CSS Knowledge to make a difference with ready open source codes.
3-) Php, Mysql, Java Script knowledge for long term success.

4-) Strong Relation-ships with successful web developers from all around the World.
5-) If your “golden kick project” based on a content site; you need to know something “very well”. If your “golden kick project” based on a service site; you need strong technical knowledge.
6-) Passion. Because there’s still a chance that, making money online may not work well for you.
7-) Patience. Because you’ll have too many things around you to lose your motivation. The most important one is “less income” , “more efforts”. But we need to know that we can’t eat fruits of young trees. First of all, our tree has to grow up.
8- ) A day job. Infact setting a making money online base is one the most economical investments. (including your server,domain, hardware,software costs) But still you may need the fund yourself.

this article is kickin’. I’m not from US, so I’ll kinda experience with what you wrote. Sometimes I even think, am too late to enter this “business”? because when I browsing the net, I’ve seen most of the blog are being monetized. But I think there’s always a place for a newcomer, right
